New batten shutters to match the original style. Owner wanted to be able to use the shutters as an entry door, so I installed the knob and lockset.
The threshold is made from a pine floor joist I dug out of a dumpster. It has been sanded, coated with a penetrating epoxy and a special West System epoxy clear coating.

This bracket was missing the scroll work. I did a rubbing of a good one and used it to make a template. I used the template to make a pattern and re
produced the scroll work with a jigsaw.

I designed this fume hood from some wood salvage from a garage demo. Time constraints forced us to finish it on site.

This theshold is made from dumpster trash. It makes a transition from the kitchen to laundry room. The floors are out of level and the frame is twisted etc… but this threshold looks good.

Small cabinet made from salvaged old growth cypress. A small gas bathroom heater was removed. The cabinet is designed to mimic batten shutters.

New shutter access doors that looks old. Salvage materials, primitive construction and old style “cut” nails are used. When installed it looks like it has always been there.
