More about us:

Lagniappe Services LLC is a small renovation and general repair business. We specialize in older and historic properties. Our client base is mostly generated by word of mouth referrals.

Most of the jobs we do are relatively small. So, rather than coordinating with subcontractors, we generally do all of the work ourselves. There are no issues with loose ends on a project or trying to figure out who is responsible for what or scheduling.

Of course there are times when a specialist is needed. But for the vast majority of residential type work, we can do it all. As a matter of fact, the more difficult and challenging a job is, the more we like it. Adapting, innovating and recreating is fun.

We correct other people’s work all of the time. I think the single greatest factor contributing to this is usually the perceived job scope and cost. We do not approach a project or task to do it just “good enough”. Doing it the right way and appropriate way is what we are about. For too many tradesmen “good enough” means “no one will know the difference” or “it will do for now”.

Our work is intended to last the life of the home. Quality materials are more expensive and good workmanship takes more time. Too often we hear from our customers that they had something done by a contractor only a few years ago and it is already falling apart. The work was “just good enough” so that contacting them (if they are still around) is pointless.

On the other hand (no one is perfect ) I have re-done work that was done years before.    Thankfully, this has been a rare occurance. Our regular customers know they can call us concerning any aspect of a project and we will be responsive to them.
